Definición de la Xíriga , ¿ Qué es La Xíriga ?

La Xíriga es una Jerga o Argot ( en francés )  secreto utilizado  históricamente  por los  «Tejeros»( Tamargos en xíriga ) un grupo de trabajadores migrantes  de las zonas de Llanes y Ribadesella  en Asturias ( España ).

Estos artesanos se dedicaban a la fabricación de tejas y ladrillos de arcilla y emigraban estacionalmente ( de Abril a Septiembre ) a regiones cómo Castilla , León .Vizcaya  o Santander para trabajar en condiciones duras y a menudo  explotadoras , lejos de sus familias.

Para comunicarse libremente  entre ellos , sin que sus patrones  o capataces los entendierán  y así criticar, planear o simplemente desahogarse , desarrollarón está lengua oral alrededor del Siglo XVIII que se usó  hasta mediados del siglo XX.

«La Xíriga» is a secret Slang ( Argot in french  ) used historically by the » Tejeros » ( Rooftilemakers)  ( Tamargos in Xíriga language ) a group of migrant workers from the areas of LLanes and Ribadesella in Asturias ( Northern Spain ).

These Craftsmen dedicated themselves  to the making of  rooftiles and  Clay bricks and these craftsmen migrated temporalely ( from April to September ) to regions such as Castilla , León ,Vizcaya ( Basque Country) or Santander . to work  in harsh  working conditions and in some cases exploited conditions , far away from their families .

To comunicate more freely between themselves withaout the understanding of their bosses or taskmasters so they could criticize, plan  or just to vent themselves , they developed this Oral language around the 18th century, wich was used until the mid  of the 20th  century .
